Concepts & Ascents is a venue for short essays at the intersection of metaphysics, philosophy of religion, and the contemplative traditions. The questions taken up here are old: the structure of reality, the relation of unity to multiplicity, the soul's ascent to the One, and the long conversation between Greek philosophy and the revealed traditions that drew it forward. The center of gravity is the Neoplatonic and Akbarian lineages.

It is written by Rashad Abdulsalam, based in Florida.

The aim is to organize a body of thought slowly, in public, in writing that is precise rather than ornamented. Essays appear when the writing is ready.
